5 minute Friday – Opportunity

Opportunity = Seize the moment in my book.

It means living life to the fullest. I am HUGE movie buff but due to health reasons I have had to get back to working out more consistently. In years past when I came home for the holidays it meant veggin’ for several days. But this time I had to find ways to workout and keep it moving. I had to meet my Nike Fuel goal each day. I had to find opportunities to stay on course so…..

I tried a class called RIPPED
I tried a class called Body Pump
I rode a bike for 20 miles
I tried a Latin Zumba class
I tried a Cardio Kickboxing class
I tried a 90 minute Zumba class

On my 10 day vacation I had 7 days of intense workouts. I took the opportunity to remain focused on my health goal. I truly seized the moment.

Hi Chick Flick Diva, good to connect with you here for the first time.
I love chick flicks too. Interesting to read how you health issues have drive you to more fitness opportunities and my recent issues have set me back from them … I loved RIPPED and my Zumba class, praying I’ll be better to get back to it soon.
    2013 Blessings and good health.

When my doctor told me that I should be on insulin due to my blood being out of control -that was the straw that broke the camel’s back. I had to make a drastic change. It is my goal to be medication free in a year. But you have to lose the weight to do that :)

However I do miss my chick flick time. I did get to watch a few Hallmark movies but I only went to the movies once over my break which is not normal for me at all. I will be praying for a speedy recovery for you so you can get back to working out :) Thanks for stopping by.
